on OSI we tested it with and without Magic Resist and the highest it could do was 39 on heritage we were getting hit about 10 more damage.

Will definitely need further testing but we attempted it and it is off.

we did 47 damage on a cursed target with 120 focus on heritage

Did you do 39 on a cursed target or 70s resist?

Yeah, we did different variations with no magic resist with magic resist, cursed, not cursed but we always used a 70's suit.

Looks like Im gonna have the start hailstorming instead no difference to me
Hail storm should even do slightly less than nether cyclone if they're both OSI accurate.
Even less if more than 2 people are in an area.

Nah tested it on osi last night 60s resists cursed consisted 40 damage every time 120 focus 120 mystic

And yes it does do less damage for every player hit like meteor swarm that’s correct

Yes, It should function similarly to meteor swarm in pvp damage wise.

the problem is, nothing shows how damage is calculated. I could do it like meteor swarm, which is a very similar spell, but nothing indicates sdi effects the damage; and its chaos damage. So if you have a weak resist, how do you know it wasn't targeting that resist?

The description on UO.com is very vague:

Nether Cyclone(Grav Hur)
mystic_nether_cyclone
Mandrake Root, Nightshade, Sulfurous Ash, Blood MossSummons a gale of lethal winds that strikes all Targets within a (3 tile) radius around the Target’s Location, dealing Chaos damage. In addition to inflicting damage, each Target of the Nether Cyclone temporarily loses a percentage of mana and stamina. The effectiveness of the Nether Cyclone is determined by a comparison between the Caster’s Focus/imbuing and Mysticism skills and the Resisting Spells skill of the Target. Does not damage hidden characters.

so does that mean for the stam loss, or the damage?

we tested on all 70s suits, but we cursed the target so this will put the total resist 70/60/60/60/60. This isnt a weak resist issue, the spell does to much damage. You will likely have to test the damage range on osi for yourself, they quoted 30-39 but im pretty certain 120 mystic/focus with max sdi makes nether cyclone do more than 30 dmg. It should be around 39-40.

Just a quick 5 minutes on OSI test center:
At 120 mystic/focus max sdi versus a cursed target nether cyclone does 28-29 if it procs physical resist and 40 damage if it procs elemental.
It looks like only the stamina and mana reduction might be affected by magic resist, but it seems that the mana reduction and stamina reduction here is also overtuned, that would need more testing though, I'm getting 3-18 stamina and mana reduction on OSI test center without resist and less with magic resist.

was there a difference in damage with adjusted magic resist on the target?

This was in a full 70s suit testing with 120 magic resist and 0 magic resist versus a cursed and non cursed. I only had a few minutes so I couldn’t test more, it seems magic resist only affects the stamina and mana drain, not the damage. Vs full 70s it should average about 28 damage, versus a cursed target it should do 28 versus physical proc from chaos damage and 40 to any of the elementals. I can’t test further as I’m at work via team viewer.

For further testing someone else will have to do it, but that’s just what I had time for.

and it was a constant 40 damage to the 60 resist? 28 average, so what would you say was the min/max range?

Also the debuff is temporary.

For most (if not all) debuffs, resist spells ONLY effects the duration. So the temporary effect is probably instant(or really fast) against a 120 RS toon.
