I get what Wild Elf is saying. Gold is not the issue, the issue is the drop rate for things. When farming for things, especially events, the average player has little chance. I tried the Halloween event and after 2 hours, nothing and gave up. I didn't want to spend all of my free time hoping to get something. On OSI, most drops get sold so they keep the drop rate low for the Rares people. With a low population, those won't sell much so most people keep them. Why not bump up the drop rate or at least drop some? After getting sick, I only play when I am feeling up to it. I did not even attempt the Krampus thing. I did not want to waste my time on something where I was most likely going to strike out.
The other thing he is referring to is the lack of being able to do spawns. If you get ganked every time you finish a spawn, you aren't going to do it. Then on top of it all, if you need power scrolls, you need to buy them from the same people that won't let you do a spawn. My characters are not geared well enough to go into Bedlam to make all the gold. None of my pets have over 110 PS because they are too expensive. Those that do not have 4-8 hours every day to play won't find it as easy as those that do.
Bottom line is that people need to find value in their game time for them to stay. I understand that it is a narrow margin between being too hard and too easy as far as drops. My honest suggestion would be for Dan to go incognito (new name and discord account) and check out some of the more popular/populated shards and see what they are doing. Make a character and play. Check out the drop rates, the types of drops, the content, etc. In the end, it has to appeal to the majority. The few of us can give suggestions all day long but in the end, it needs to appeal to others as well.
