The Necromancy spell "Summon Familiar" can summon a few toons that basically act like a buff or gear. The familiar doesn't really do much on its own, but should follow the casters actions, recalls, etc.

The issue I am noticing is the familiar isn't keeping up with me and if I recall, it stays behind. It should just stick to the caster (like if you run away it will snap to your feet) follow you in recalling, etc.

I think something happened since this used to be the case. Maybe the pet code updates or something.

Look, I tested it on OSI and it works the same way.

I summoned a familiar and used recall, the familiar doesn’t follow me when recalling — it only follows when using gate travel.

I recorded some GIFs on Heritage and OSI.

Thanks for doing that. It actually looks like it is better on Heritage since it will "force" it to catch up a little. What was your opinion after testing both?

In the end, though, I am not against buffing summons of all types for players.

Was kinda the point of this post. Summons across the board could use some love.

If some of you remember, we tested this new "property"

I could just force the necro summons to be "bonded" so they would act like a bonded pet when it comes to travel.

I would not do this for the horde minion, though. I could see that being abused. I am open to suggestions.

The familiar on Heritage moves faster than on OSI.

I believe it would be great to implement it so they can follow you on recall, without changing the essence of what a familiar is. If you make them bonded, will they receive commands? Because in fact, the wisp is used only to give mana and not to attack.

No, all making them "bonded" would do is allow them to travel with the necromancer on recall, so they don't need to gate. Otherwise, they would behave exactly the same. The horde minion would be exempt from bonding. If they "died" or whatever happens to them, they would still just delete and not turn into a ghost. I was just thinking out loud.
