Peerless boss mats, like eye of travesty, dread horn, etc, are not supposed to be consumed when failing crafting. The other mats, like putrification, are the only ones that are supposed to.

I tried this on OSI - While crafting Spell woven britches I set my Tailoring to 100 Which gave me a 65% CHANCE of success on crafting - It did not ever take the Eye of the Travesty/Scourge/Putrefaction when I failed.
I then went on to craft the Scrappers Compendium and with 100 Inscribe you have a 30% Chance to craft the scrappers - I Failed and DID NOT lose any of the Corruption/Taint/Dread Horn mane

Probably about time I get EJ....
There is a gate @ Britain commons on TC1 that removes endless journey and allows you to almost do any of the content. Minus some of the expansion gear but it makes testing simple and quick especially since you no longer have to make a new account every 14 days or whatever.
Following tomorrows restart this issue will have been fixed.
