Duplicate Nexus deed broken/unobtainable

Nexus Deed - UOGuide, the Ultima Online Encyclopedia

It took a long time to aquire the 50 needed punch cards for this & they have a timer (4 hours)
But upon trying to "feed" them into the punch card reader, i get a message saying "this is not your container, you can't store things here"
Single & double clicking on both the cards & time reader does nothing.
