When placing the teleporter pad on the floor behind me, it did not show when i placed it.. so i committed my design, and when i came out, the pad was there, and works...


(The bit of color difference you see is a piece of wall from the floor below it.

When i go back into customization mode.. I can no longer see the teleport pad.

So i decided to re-load my client to see if it fixes it, and it did not..

The teleport pad is on the 3rd Floor, if that makes any difference.

The arch may be the issue for it popping up. I'll make an 18x18, same graphic with a sandstone arch and see if it pops up on the floor. Some items just do that.

So i got the idea that maybe the teleport pad was under the floor tile, so i clicked the delete tool.. and i clicked the tile, and nothing happened, thats when i noticed this.. You will noticed when i mouse over certain parts of the house, the highlight disappears, I cannot change these areas.. I clicked a few tiles inside the areas where there was no highlight, and committed my design to see if maybe the changes were made, but i couldnt see them.. but no, no tiles had been deleted.

as for the sandstone arch.. I have NEVER had this issue. On any server, or RealUO

None of this happened last week, while I was building this on stream.

Stupid question but do you have circle of transparency on?

Okay could I also ask what assistant you use? Razor or Steam? If you have both could you try the other and let me know. Just trying to narrow things down.

Did you only notice it as it got bigger?

@Dexter is there anything in the core that specifies how much data is retained when customizing a house? Like a number that is cached or something? Obviously these plots require the house customizer to retain way more data than an 18x18. If so maybe there is a packet of sorts or edit we need to make so the server remembers everything with bigger plots?

Okay so, My goto assistant is Steam, I have few issues with it.. I did your test.. I logged out and used Razor enhanced and everything seem to work fine. Just to be sure, I logged out and logged back in with steam again, and again, I had no issues.. so.. not sure whats going on..

We will keep an eye on this, could be a packet issue we need to account for with the bigger sizes. As you notice more trends please let us know. It may also all be client side. I'll need the smart man to answer that one.

So i re-traced my steps the best i could remember, to try to reproduce this, and i had no luck... i guess if it happens again, I will let you know..

Multis are buggy on the client, always have been. If you come across an issue, restart your entire client. If the issue persists, then we'll go from there.

NEVER had this issue.. ever..

I did have an issue Friday night.. a tile would not delete.. I had to leave custom mode.. reboot and re-enter customize mode to delete it. Ive not worked on the castle since..

Could we be missing a new packet somewhere or something where the client forgets the data over time?

no, but i may have to increase the cache.

We could test it out on Heritage, see if it has any adverse effects and then push to ServUO.
