Not A Bug Mysticism and Imbue

Hey, I'm having trouble getting the passive gains on the imbue skill while casting mysticism spells...I started 4 brand new characters and casted mysticism spells for hours with no gains on imbuning...I lock focus immediately, but it generally gains 1 point without even moving...Not sure if thats the issue or something else is at play

So it looks like mysticism will perform a check on which is higher (Focus vs Imbuing) and set one as your damage modifier check "DamageSkill".
From this, if your focus is higher than your imbuing it will likely not try to gain imbuing.


I soul stoned focus off of one of my mystic mages and trained imbuing at the NPC to ~24. Still wasn't able to get a gain from casting mystic spells so not sure what the issue is here but i do believe it's somehow tied to focus being set as "DamageSkill" instead of Imbuing.

What the statement above is saying is:

If Imbuing >= Focus, return Imbuing as the skill to gain, otherwise return Focus. However, it does seem to not be working.

Also just because it is looking for Imbuing to determine the damage of the spell, does not mean it would gain here. Again, something seems to not be working correctly.

None what so ever, haven't even looked at it yet. The whole team has professional jobs that come first. While this might be disheartening just remember that it's exactly because we are all working professionals that Heritage is not in danger of going down, regardless of costs or donations.

We will update this post when we get working on it and it will get addressed.

In OSI Test Center, casting Mysticism spells increases Focus. In ServUO, casting Mysticism spells increases Imbuing according to Focus skill level depending on char's race. It is possible to increase Imbuing to skill cap if you cast continuously a Mystic spell that requires high Mystic skill...

I also know i was gaining imbuing on a base ServUO build not very long ago. Not sure if something changed or its a Heritage only thing. Or if at some point it was found to be EA inaccurate between Dec 2019 and today...

Very few things are a Heritage only thing compared to the grand scheme of things.

Verified on EA you do not gain imbuing casting mystic spells, only focus. This was fixed months ago.
