FIXED If you double click a lantern that is inside a beetle, it will disappear and equip on the beetle.

If you try and double click a lantern after the first one disappears, it doesn't do anything, as if there's already one equipped.

That sure is an interesting find.

I found the lantern in the "hands" of the beetle and put it back inside Xtal's backpack.

Be careful in the meantime until I patch a fix.
