Hamburgers only give a fill factor of 2

But..

It takes the following ingredients to make:

1 Bread Loaf, FF: 3
1 Raw Rib (When Cooked FF: 5)
1 Lettuce: FF: 1
= 9 FF

Not to mention it requires you to partake and win in the Huntsmasters Challenge to get the recipe to craft it, thats worth at least 1 FF

Can the burger be boosted to 10 FF, when exceptional is fine too.

The Huntsmasters Challenge has a few other recipes too.. working on obtaining them, and will make suggestions based on those as well

Yeah, if you get time to make a list like that I will look at it and most likely change some of those.

So i have checked all the farms that i know of and none of them are spawning Lettuce, do you think that one of the wheat farms in Brit could be replaced with lettuce?

The patch in the lost lands currently spawns them. Sometimes have to pick other things to force spawn.

It is labeled simply "grasses".

A crafted pumpkin pie gives 5 Fill Factor, but the pumpkin itself is 8 fill factor.

I can come up with 2 ideas..

1.) Remove the fill factor from pumpkins, since its an ingredeint.. and leave the pie as is, i dont know many people who eat raw pumpkin.. :D

2.) Raise the pumpkin pies fill factor. I think 1 makes more sense.

example.. eggs give no fill factor, but when crafted into a baked quiche, the quiche gives 5 FF

The Hot Dog has 2 FF

But..

It requires:
1 Sausage FF: 4
1 Bread Loaf FF: 3
= 7 FF
It also requires you to partake and win in the huntmasters challenge to get the recipes, which is worth at least 1 FF

I propose 8 FF on the Hot Dog. Exceptionally crafted would be fine.
Post automatically merged:

Oops, the sausage is actually 4 FF

I suggest that the food that cannot be purchased from NPCs be worth more FF, and have less weight.

1.) Only Obtainable Via Crafting:

Cheese Pizza
Sausage Pizza
Pan Of Cookies
Three Tier Cake (Requires Recipe Drop)
Baked Quiche
Baked Meat Pie
Baked Apple Pie (Remove from NPC)
Baked Fruit Pie
Baked Peace Cobbler
Baked Apple Pie
Baked Pumpkin Pie
Gingerbread Cookie (Requires Recipe Drop)
Fried Eggs
Hamburger (Requires Recipe Drop)
Hot Dog (Requires Recipe Drop)

2.)Foods Not Worth Crafting

Sausage (Requires Recipe Drop) requires an ingredient that makes it not worth it to craft.

3.) Foods that should be top tier

Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate & White Chocolate Nutcrackers (Requires Recipe Drop & Gardening "Cocoa Tree, Vanilla Plant & Sugar Cane Plant")

4.)Foods I have yet to mess with, still looking for information online to know if they do anything when you eat them, if they are just new foods that dont do anything, then these can be added to #3 as they require special ingredients.

Grilled Serpent Steak (Requires Recipe Drop)
BBQ Dino Ribs (Requires Recipe Drop)
Waku Chicken (Requires Recipe Drop)

These are just suggestions do with them as you will. I will update you on what the foods in #4 do.. when i find information.

It seems that just buying the food from the NPC is going to be the best route right now.. The cake for 50 gold is the best buy atm.. cakes do not stack, so the most you can put on a vendor is 125. Undercutting the NPC @ 40g, and thats only 5k.. and not really worth a crafters time to stock.. as im sure once its known that there are cheaper cakes.. then they will sell out quickly.

Things that make crafting food too much of a hassle..
Alot of your ingredients weigh 1 stone or more, so looting it or buying it, you have to either make multiple trips to the house you are crafting at or use commodity deeds, alot of the food doesnt stack, so you either have to sell them 1 at a time, or bag up a bunch of 10 piece bags.. which takes alot of time.. for very little return.. if cakes stacked, and flour didnt weigh 5 stones a piece, it would be much easier to sell in stacks of 100 on a vendor..

Im not sure what you have planned for the future, but right now trying to make food to sell is just too much work, for the reward, if you were to ask me how to fix this? Make non stacking foods, stack.. either reduce the weight of the items needed to craft food, or increase the amount of weight we can "hold" (The amount we can put in our bag, and not move) and either double the price of the food items on the npc's, or remove eveything from the npc that is over 5 FF.

Just my 2 copper.. do with it as you will.

We can't force non-stackable items to be stackable without forcing a custom client so that's not even a possibility.

You can't just turn that on or off. Much more goes into it.

For now, if an ItemID is marked stackable we can stack it otherwise no.

Yea.. Ive tried to do this myself in the past.. With no luck. You can flag an item stackable.. But it still doesnt work properly.. But my skill is no where near yours.. Thought maybe there might be something differnt you could do.. That I didnt know about, but I guess not

Yeah, it is easy to get things to "stack" in a sense. However, will never be able to unstack and some items can't just "drop" onto each other.

It would require client edits too. unfortunately, there isn't at this time.

Something else to consider - The current fill values of food sold by NPCs does not have to remain that way. In the future foods from NPCs could max out at a fill level of 3 or 4.

As eating truly serves no purpose on production they just added random stuff over the years for RP purposes but didn't have to "balance" anything. Now that we have given a small purpose to eating and maybe soon drinking, we can balance and change things. Like I said in this post or another we can look at exceptionally crafted food weight too.

Maybe even a special "picnic basket" that only accepts food and scales weight like other satchels.

No thought-out idea to improve an otherwise dead in-game item object will be ignored and could make its way onto Heritage.

Got a bunch of fill factor changes coming in the next patch @Omalley as well as changes to what the NPCs sell/prices.

No rush, the next patch log will note most of the changes for review.

How'd you do that?
