Not A Bug Fishing Quests - Giving Shore Fish for GM fisherman?

Hi all,

I was trying out the Professional Fisher Quests tonight, and kept getting "shore" fish as a GM. If I'm reading it right and if it's correct on UOGuide, it looks like you're supposed to receive deep water fish for the fishing quests if you're GM.

I'm new to high seas fishing, so I might just be misunderstanding.

I believe, sort of like bulk orders, that you get a lot of lower-level at first but the more you do, the higher up and goes and bigger the reward.

@RedBeard may know a little better than me.

• 0-80 Shallow water Fish
• 80-106 Deep Water Fish
• 106-120 Dungeon Fish

You simply get a chance to trigger those quests at those skill levels, at 110 fishing your quests will be varying in types and amounts.

You need to fulfill the reputation requirement:

Reputation and Order Size
Each successfully completed quest will increase your reputation with the Fish Mongers of the Order of the Dragonfish and allow you to get larger orders (and possible rewards) from the Fish Mongers. You can take as many quests at once and complete them in any order.

For each fish (or crustacean) that you have completed an order for, you get a chance to get an order for 2 different kinds of fish. The same way, for each fish that you have completed an order for twice, you get a chance to get an order for 3 different kinds of fish. This progresses until you are getting the largest order of 6 different kinds of fish. While your chance for a larger order increases, it will ultimately be evaluated by the Rng.

The number of a specific kind of fish in an order will increase by 5 if you have previously completed an order with the same type of fish up to 20, or decrease by 5 if you resigned from a previous quest having the same type of fish in the order down to 10.

I guess what threw me off there were the ranges. You'd think it would have said 80+ - Deep water, 106+ - Dungeon. The ranges make it sound like within those skill points you will get that type. But it sounds like you're familiar with the OSI system. Thank you!
