FIXED During a treasure hunt i meet this nice Guardian. Quickly after he decided to move in.

It was like a lightning ... actually quite many of them but finally i got new Guardian friend.
During the treasure hunt i noticed that some types of the Guardian mobs are having tag 'tameable' so i decided to check it out ... and the outcome is :

What did i test :

* first of all if it will de-spawn after treasure chest will be gone (bye bye chest) :

Nope he decided to stay ... so i felt quite generous and offered him a Sov based juice :

And yes it bonded pretty nicely :

Checked if he will de-spawn after getting killed (hint, no he actually liked sov juice so much) :

Maybe there was some timer ? Waited ~24h ... and he is still here, with me ...



Some additional notes :

* excluding (Guardian) tag that is staying even after rename ... it is a normal pet this one is actually pretty weak.
* this is just Guardian .... that is spawned when the chest is showing up, not the OP mob that is showing when you fail the disarm trap.
* after taming guardian, chest cannot be lockpicked until it will die - stabled, dead, logged out ... no matter, game knows it is some where alive.
* i was doing this in the Tokuno, thus pet types, will check out Tram map as i have a Trove there.

Bonus note :
When you open the chest similar coloured pet can spawn, but without the Guardian tag, rarely but it happens :

I expect that special mobs like Guardians should not be teameable.
All other mobs show up as "Soulbound" , but normaly tameable can still be tamed.
They get this special tag (Guardian).

Maybe someone can provide more input.

There are certain pets that can only be obtained from treasure maps. Frost Dragon comes to mind.

It's more about the tag and color. I'd do a google search and see.

I did not tame my frost dragon, someone gave it to me, but... that was before the TMap, revamp.. are these mobs stronger than its counter part? Looks like a rune beetle in the picture, is it just a normal rune beetle with a new hue? if so.. i dont see the issue really.

I lored this beetle already and i can only confirm
It is only diffrent color and (guardian)
All stats and skills are between min-max value from uo-cah on this animal.
No issue for me either

Well i have no issues with this either, hue and (Guardian) tag.
Simply i assume that this (Guardian) points to some limitation as they are linked to initial spawn/chest locking and mobs that spawn when the chest is open have the same hue, but will lack this permament (Guardian) tag.

I don't play on OSI so cannot check it but i don't think Guardians from initial spawn should be tameable.
Will return to this when i will find more info.

Looked at some recordings from people hunting - no hue but also don't show if this things can be tamed :

What it shows that it spawns normal monsters like greater dragons ... or other minor stuff, but also separate monsters with a (Guardian) tag.

You can tame things from the initial wave on OSI. That is how you get the frost drakes and frost dragons. They do not keep the guardian tag and not sure why it is hued different.

Well let me summarize what looks the case here :

* they preserve (Guardian) tag that cannot be removed
* they have different hue
* if you time the (Guardian) one that spawns before you lockpick the chest - you will never be able to lockpick the chest as one of the guardians is still alive.
* when pulling stuff from chest mobs are also spawning whith this hue, also some of them are tameable, but they lack (Guardian) tag

Once tamed, they count as being gone, or should. You could also stable it to remove it from there server or not tame one. On OSI, thats how it is anyways.

The tamable ones are tamable after the initial pull and after remove trap.

I think I figured out the hue. On OSI, there was an event where you had to have a soulbinder and any undead mobs that spawn would have their souls go into the soulbinder when killed. Yeah, we have that event active all the time here at the moment. Players are out there collecting souls all the time
