Not A Bug Castle Bug Or just Castle Needs a Fix?

So I want to put stairs on the side of one of my Castles, but I cant. I belive I should be able to, like, why is there else a doorway there?

Did you buy those special stairs from npc?

The stairs do a check from the east and west sides to make sure there is no other house within 2x tiles.

This is to account for situations where the OTHER house might also want to place stairs facing west, but would otherwise now overlap yours if the 2x block restriction was not in place.

Which doesnt make sense because I have two doorways Let me use my doorways! (

The front stairs are connected and follow other rules.

These custom ones check that there are no houses within 2 tiles so they don't overlap. You could place on that side if that plot was 1 tile over.

Its 3 tiles away, but it says I cannot plave because its not a customhouse.

I'd like a change so i can add stairs to it, otherwise the designs makes little to no sense because of the doorway

I belive that fix is a good one

Yeah, the way this custom is coded it will only work with blank plots. Any pre-built house is not designed to work with these stairs.

As far as that design, no idea why EA did it that way as they don't even have the stairs option, other than the normal south side.
