Investigating Can't win mayor elections, despite getting all the votes

I've ran for mayor of a town now a couple cycles in a row where I am endorsed and voted for by multiple different accounts, unopposed, but when the voting ends, it doesn't give me mayor powers, and goes back to saying "Pending, King's Choice".

I didn't have or see a problem with the Governors Election in Minoc. Worked as intended as far as I can tell....

Maybe you don't, but I had the same problem as Xtal. The exact same thing happened to me in Trinsic.
