Cannot Reproduce Britannian Ship Lost

So, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but the loss is sure a shame if it's not.

I had my Britannian ship parked off of one of the small islands west of Makoto-Jima. It had not been long since I last visited it... maybe a week or two? Last night while sitting in my Luna house, I got a notification that my ship had been unlinked from my lighthouse. (Wait... what?) I immediately tried to recall to my ship and got the message, "You cannot recall to another facet." It seems that the ship is gone, but I don't know why.

I'm not so familiar with rates of decay for ships. Is it possible that a blundercannon popped up next to it, leaving it in a damaged and decaying state? I'm really not sure what to think.

Hmm. At the time had you placed any other boats from that account into the water?

It seems this has been reported a few times, by a few different players. The Heritage decay timer for all boats is set at 6 months.

Does overall condition also have a part in the decay timer?

Based on this page, it says a ship will vanish after 13 days, which is about how long I probably left mine. Are you sure the Heritage timer is set to 6 months for boats?

There's something else going on here that we need to figure out, because the event for blundercannons has not been going on for 6 months, and I have been actively doing that event using my Britannia ship this summer whenever I get the chance. Either the decay timer for boats is only 13 days and not 6 months, or there's something we don't know potentially regarding damage to ships and the resulting rate of decay. I can't find anything else on it.

Did you check your house moving crate for your ship model?
After loosing a Tokuno and then loosing a Brit Galleon I co-owned, I got the Lighthouse like you, however, I have never heard confirmation that the Lighthouse works either. I have kept my 2nd Brit galleon dry docked waiting for such verification.

Would also explain why it was unlinked, it was dry docked.

Yeah, but I didn't dry dock it! How and why did it just decide to poof and go in my moving crate? I don't get it.

Sweet! So the Lighthouse seems to work as intended.

Good to see it works. @Brosephine, when your boat sinks and its liked to a lighthouse (this happens automatically), it goes to your moving crate.

But why did it decay so fast?

@Dexter I have had a few people claim to lose galleons and Britannia ships like this.

I have changed it in the code to be 6 months, could you take a look? Not many people have Lighthouses.
