FIXED Bouncing around

After every restarting my guy was bounced to a place i either haven’t been before or haven’t been in weeks. While in Shadowguard i was bounced to tram del and to far east brit. While party member stayed where we were. Shakyj was with me.

So important facts are:

Both times this happened to you it was after a restart or crash and you were logging back into a room of Shadowguard correct?

I've had this happen before. Its so infrequent, I'm not too concerned about it. To note, i logged in a location that I had logged out of, but not the most recent logged out location.

Dan said it might have something to do with the Shadowguard. I was not the leader of the party and was the only one bounced out. My pet would even stay

Dexter what I think is going on here is, if you are the leader who keyed for a room and your party is in a room, during a restart, the party leader logs back into his instance, everyone else, no longer in a party because of restart, gets moved to a random stuck location.

I see. Let me look and see. Were you doing shadowguard sometime before the restart/crash?

The first time i had just logged into the game. But i logged in right after a crash. I was in Shadowguard when the shard crashed two times and once on a restart. So yes three times it happened i was in Shadowguard.

And if I remember correctly we were on the boss in the bar all three times. Not 100% on that Shakyj might be able to confirm that.

Ok, so where exactly were you when you logged back it? Were you in the shadowguard lobby area?

The first time i was in delucia trammel near healers. Second time i was in delucia trammel near the inn. Both places i havent been to in weeks. Third time i ended up in papua trammel. I have not been there on this character. Fourth time i ended up far south east brit trammel , again a place this character had not been.

He had been inside shadowguard, but not as the party leader.

If anything it should eject them to right outside Shadowguard.

Player A - Starts the instance to shadow guard as the party leader with Player B.

The shard restarts.

Player A logs back in and is still in the shadowguard room.

Player B logs back in and is ejected to some random town in Trammel. (This is because he is no longer in the party on a restart)

NO IDEA how it is supposed to work on UO as we would have to test it RIGHT at restart. Should a party serialize?

A simple fix would be to just make sure if in shadowguard to eject to the entrance instead of a random town location.

They should be getting that storm level gump. Is this not happening? And yes, I agree, they should go back to the lobby. Not sure why this code was put in there.

A few players I talked to did get the storm gump so wherever else the storm gump is used that should be working fine.

Yea, it happens right at login. There may need to be a slight delay to send the gump since so much crap happens to the client at login. So, storm level gump or bump to the lobby?

Bump to lobby, in regards to Shadowguard. It makes the most sense to revert to the entrance of an encounter.
