Not A Bug Animal Training

I trained my Cu Sidhe up to level 4 (was holding off training further [5] til I got PS and at some point the ability to advance to level 5 disappeared. I decided to tame another CU found one with good stats and he is Level 3 but his ability to train has also disappeared. My character is Human but that shouldn't matter while im wearing the boots. This is pretty messed up, it takes long time to find good stat Cu.

Did something change real recent I mean the thing isn't even bonded yet? Why did the training option show up and then disappear? Will the ability return after I reach a certain skill?

And confirmed on UO, once you start training and the pet reaches a certain power threshold they will jump, sometimes at even 3 slots, to needing 108 taming to control.

It was also confirmed that this 108 skill is REAL SKILL and can not be bumped up or down with items.

Your taming is simply too low to continue with that pet. Once you raise it to 108 you will be able to continue.

What some people do, who want more skill points, is train pets on a "true" tamer and then transfer them to tamers that buff with items and jewelry after trained.

Look at it as being "focused speced"

I forgot that I did have another character tame it and transferred, but realize I was allowed to continue to level 5 previously, so this change must have occurred since [I've been absent for 7 weeks, just got back on Heritage this week] , there should be a forum section dedicated to this system since its seems to constantly change and there isn't much reliable information elsewhere.

Here is the pet in question (my post is about jumping to 108 skill at level 4)if you see picture it shows level 4 and ready to proceed to level 5 training on June 12th. Did the REAL SKILL change occur after this date, if so it explains why it wasn't an issue on June 12.

There were at-least 15 pet training revamp commits since that date so no idea.

This worked, once I hit pre-requisite skill, training option reappeared. -Relieved
