FIXED Boat issues

Observed the following on EA's TC Server:

1. You cannot deploy more than 1 boat! (Not sure if this is TC only, or a recent change)
2. The area around Sea Market is NOT guarded.
3. You do not get any notification about a 30 minute limit when you enter the area.
4. You are able to recall out from next to Sea Market and recall back to your boat.

Need to be tested still:

5. Do Large boats act the same way as small boats. All testing was done using small boats from the Provisioner.
5. (A) Can you deploy both a small boat AND a galleon, or are you still limited to one?
5. (B) Do you get a warning if you park your boat near Sea Market?

Alright so what we need to know now:

1. You cannot deploy more than 1 boat!
  • This should have been like that since High Seas came out. I did not know on ServUO you could have more than 1 boat.
  • The one exception is the rowboat.
  • Is this ACCOUNT based or character based?
2. The area around Sea Market is NOT guarded.
  • Good to know!
3. You do not get any notification about a 30 minute limit when you enter the area.
  • So I know on UO there is a time limit and your boat gets moved.
  • Did you receive any warning while within the area?
  • Did you wait 30 minutes just to see what would happen? Could even log and see if the boat moves next time you log in.
  • MAYBE just MAYBE (and this would be kinda cool) the Sea Market can tell how many boats are around it and only after x amount of boats it kicks them out?
4. You are able to recall out from next to Sea Market and recall back to your boat.

More good stuff:

6. Boatsman have interesting things to say:

7. Fishing (even with 120 Fishing) still produces boots and shoes on EA. On ServUO/Heritage I never fish up footwear any more. This made it somewhat anti-climactic when I received a "junk-proof hook" as a reward.

8. On EA, at 120 Fishing, I still get no-name 1 weight Fish.
9. On EA, Finding a Sea Serpent is MUCH more rare than on ServUO.
10. On EA, the timer from Cast to Reel-in is 8 seconds, vs. 10 seconds on ServUO.
11. A Big Fish does not show the date and name of the person who caught it:

Big Fish that weight 20 stones or more do have the date and name of when the fisher caught them.
https://uo.com/wiki/ultima-online-wiki/skills/fishing/
"Both weight and fishermans name will be displayed on the trophy, but only if the fish weighed more than 20 stones."

Are rare fish NOT showing date and caught information on Heritage?

No, that's why it was 11. (A) not 12. Rare fish DO show date and fisher name on Heritage.

It was just additional information related to number 11. But that confirms your statement about the fish needing to be 20 stones or more.

Alright out of all these issues which ones still remain?

I think just 6. and 10. are still unfinished.

Boatsmen telling interesting stories, and reel time needing reduced by 1 second.

So I believe all these are fixed now with the addition of the Tillerman talking. The timer says the correct number there just seems to be a slight delay. Not sure if that is going to get touched on.

@Lokai did we 100% confirm that the Sea Market is not guarded? If so that is the last thing we need to fix and we can close this one out.

Ah, I don't think I ever truly tested that. I was just assuming it was not since I never saw the "You are now under the protection of the ..." message. I suppose I could fish around and see if something attacks and dies.

I was able to summon a demon and kill a blue Fisherman. Although he swore at me, and called out for "Help, tis a murderer!" alas, nobody came to his rescue. Poor fisherman. :(

Alright so @Dexter the Floating docks need to have the guards removed. They are not a guarded region. Makes sense since Sea Serpents are around there.

All of these issues have been fixed.

I confirmed, and applied the fix to ServUO, that the Sea Market is not guarded regardless of facet.
