Not A Bug Unable to perform animal training on most tameables

I've tried several different tameables mainly Bears (black & brown), Baka Kitsune & Giant Beetles.
Some animals Do have the option, I've check Timber Wolves and horses, both of which have it.

After talking with someone on discord, I tried dropping the animal training quest, restarting the client and even switching between Classic and Enhanced clients.

As you can see in the picture below, I have 91 taming and 100 lore (with jewelry). I've also used the taming mastery primer to level one, and tamed a new kitsune after to see if that helped.

you will need 110 taming for a lot of animals/mounts in order to train them. you can tame at lower levels.

I have that problem with certain pets as well. I have a chicken that doesn't allow me to train it up any further as well. I am 120 lore/taming/vet

Is the 110 taming thing for training something that is specific to this shard? Because there isn't any hint of that restriction on UOGuide or any other site I can find.

I dont think you can train a pet that you cant control.. and most pets can be controlled at 110.. at 100 you should be able to use a Greater Dragon. Where are you trying to hunt.. to start as a tamer is difficult.. 110 animal lore/taming shouldn't cost millions.. should be able to get both for less than a mill.. I start out on a new server, with a swords based character.. and head into the solen hive.. and do your quests in New Haven to get the skill gain increase.. if you do go into the solen hive, beware as they drop acid on the ground, that can kill you quick.. so run and slash!

Correct, you must be able to control the creature at the next level, before you can train it to the next level.

I thought having the tame/lore required to tame it was the same as the control level?

No, when you first train a creature, its control slots increase. It factors in the control chance for the next level.
