FIXED Tribal mask

Made a tribal mask and was trying to dye it with a regular dye tub and gave me the "you cannot dye that" message. Cloth it was made with was dyed grey prior to crafting, not sure if that had anything to do with it. Also tried using "special dye tub", "leather dye tub" and "black dye tub" for the sake of testing to see if it was just my tub.tribal mask.png

I think it was dyable but then removed from the game. Long time ago, and the dyed one remains as "rares" if im not mistaken?

Listed as a rare by the players since they cant be dyed. Just like the normal tub dyed sandals. A bug that became a rare, like most things :) Far back you couldnt craft masks. And the ones you found were not dyeable. Then when added they became dyable from normal dyetubs, which was wrong and patched. I dno now days tho, so many strange things going on. So maybe they should be dyable?

I would understand if they were made of leather but even then they should be able to be dyed by leather dye tubs, but they're made of cloth. No reason for them not to be dyeable.

@Melek Taus Does it say in the crafting window, that it retains the color of the material it was made with? I know the deer mask does.

I was sitting in front of my computer, and Yes, it is supposed to retain the color of the materials

Here is realUO.. it says nothing about retaining the color. so this must be the issue

im sure you can dye it with plant/tokuno dyes once its been imbued, at least it is now a magical item, and should be dyeable with the appropriate dyes.

Thank you both for your help. For now I will dye the cloth the color I want the mask, but would like to see the issue resolved as it is bugged per real uo standards.

If I am following this correctly, the only bugged thing here is that the Gump is saying the color is retained when it should not.

Correct?
