Its only a stash map, but still weird.
Unless there is a secret way to get to the snow area North of Ish Compassion gate.

Yeah, there is not.

This happens on EA UO as well. Just sometimes the chests will spawn in an unreachable spot.

Once you decode a map if you don't dig it up within 30 days the coordinates reset.

Thanks. While I have you, are the spots always random? Is a map runebook necessary? I'm accumulating General area runes...

Yes the spots are random now. It's not like before where it was always one of many set spots.
