Most tamers that I have come across who like to do use multiple accounts seem to be healing their pets with magery/spellweaving.

If I may propose:
a buff to veterinary maybe added a HOT on to high level vets for pets. Maybe making magery/spellweaving less effective at healing pets. Maybe evennnn a buff to your pets damage if vetted recently?

I don't think what you really meant was to make magery/SW less effective. But... Veterinary as well as any of the taming skills offers increased stable slots at higher skill levels. Are you aware of Taming Mastery and 'Consume'. 'Consume' heals your pet with mana, which is basically the same thing as using Magery/SW to heal a pet. Taming Mastery has nothing to do with Veterinary skill and doesn't require it. Also while on the subject of healing pets without using veterinary, Humility Virtue offers increased HPR to your pets: 10 @ lvl 1, 20 @ lvl 2, and 30 HPR @ lvl 3. UO intentionally offers a few ways to heal pets without vet skill.

I feel like as a stand alone skill. Vet should be the superior way to do it. Think you can heal more HP per second spamming greater heals with SW hot on than you can with a bandage. I just feel like it should get a slight buff so you can at least heal your pets more efficiently with good vet skill. Rather than the alternative methods.

I have been playing UO since 2000. At 120 vet, my bandage heals a lot more than my magery. However, it is nice to be able to use bandages and magery when needed to keep it alive. I have been a 120/120/120 tamer all real skill for as long as I can remember on OSI and my main tamer is the same here. With vet, we get more stable slots as well as the ability to rez our pets almost instantly. Choice to build your template in as many ways as you can think of is what makes a sandbox great. I don't see a reason to change anything from how it is. There are advantages to having vet and scrolling vet for those that want it. There are advantages and disadvantages for those that don't train it or scroll it. It is honestly no different than the difference between first aid and magic healing. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Someone with GM healing could make the same argument. I do understand where you are coming from, just don't see any reason to change how it currently is.
