Staff Hosted PvP Tournament. What should I know and what would you want to see?

I would like to take some time to gather some information from the PvP community.

I would like to start hosting staff moderated PvP tournaments.

I would also like to use the built in Arena system we have which you can read more about HERE.
The built in system allows users to pre-define these settings:
  • Maximum Entries: 2 – 10 participants
  • Room Type: Public or Private
  • Battle Mode: Survival or Team
  • Ranked: yes or no
  • Time Limit: 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes
  • Entry Fee: 0, 1000, 5000, 10000, 25000 or 50000gp
  • Pet Slots: 0,1,2,3,4 or 5
  • Riding/Flying: OK or NO
  • Ranged Weapons: OK or NO
  • Summon Spells: OK or NO
  • Field Spells: OK or NO
  • Potion: All OK, NONE or No HEALING

Now if a tournament was staff moderated we would define the rules that must be selected prior to each match.

What should I know? Look for? Special rules? Have you hosted tournaments before on UO? How did you run it? How many people attended?

I think it would be fun to do a solo fight and a team fight. The only limits i would put on the fights are no pets and no summoning spells.

Make the Entry 10000 and the winner gets a % of it and the rest of the money is destroyed helping take money out of the server.

no riding or flying unless its a team fight.
