Discussion Soulstone Use - Link 4 accounts and use across all.

Hello,

I would like to request if the code is put in to link our 4 accounts, that it make it possible that we can use soulstones across those 4 accounts. Basically interlink them.

Dan discussed looking at this once before once the new account system was in place. Perhaps it could be considered!!! It sure would be awesome!

I thought soulstones weren’t account restricted anymore?
I'm not sure if it was or not.. but I've been asking for them to be non account bound since day 1!!!
Please do make this a thing so I can sell/buy skills!!!!

I used I guess a Red Soulstone in Demise that allowed between accounts, and that is what I thought all of them were.

Trading between people is no go and I can accept that, but if they are all my accounts..

I am pro account restriction however if we could "link" accounts we can look into it.

The biggest issue I see is people AFK training skills to sell to others. Do you guys believe this is a real problem or not at all?

Personally I dont understand why selling skills is a bad idea. It's just another market for players to partake in..

But I understand it's very out of the norm.. that being said I honestly think if its possible players should be able to atleast use soulstones across the linked accounts since the only barrier I see is really the code as far as how to link the accounts but you guys might be halfway there with the new system?

The biggest issue I see is people AFK training skills to sell to others.

Is the problem here that it's in a way afk gathering resources at that point? Because now that I think of it I can see the "where is the line" argument

People selling skills? Why would that be a problem? You can buy skills in the store. Id be curious to hear cons..

I think the "con" is you're essentially afk gathering gold.

The LRC suit you get at the start though negates a lot of the AFKable skills being of value. No one is going to be buying mage on a stone when you can just run a UOSteam macro and go to work for the day and have 120 mage when you get back. Even taming that was once one of the hardest to get to a high level is now macroable in a bank

So the actual affect on the server as far as selling skills could be quite low in my opinion

I dont think theres going to be this mass marketing selling of skills on a public level I believe it will be on a more guild and friend trusting level as they would have to use tour soulstone THEN get paid and it could be risky with strangers but I am the type where I stockpile skills on random characters so i can build random templates fast and sometimes (like last night) there is skills i dont have such as inscription where a guild mate has it and would have been willing to sell to me.. it doesnt change the game in any game breaking way, it just opens it up a bit for people.
I agree tho that it could be a mixture of farming gold essentially tho and how the rules would have to be affected by this.

How much would it cost? 50$ or something more around the 20$ mark?

No idea yet. Definitely not more than 20 and I'm not even committed to making it yet at this time.

The farming of skills like animal taming!? animal taming is a joke now.. you can have a 120 tamer in one night if you had the primer and the powerscroll. Buy a Mythic character token, and its even easier.

Any skill can easily be GM'd+ here, with a script and a weekend. (cept maybe discordance)

I can 120 just about any skill on this server in the mater of 2-3 days. Provided I have a scroll for it.
I think the nature of gaining skills is fairly easy to most players on UO these days. An IP bound soulstone would be nice.
I do disagree with the ability to sell skills for gold/sovs/real$.

IP bound wouldn't work that would just allow 2 people to connect to the same VPN and still trade/sell stones to each other.

It would have to be using the new account system and only allowing accounts under the same email to be used on that stone
