Continuing what appears to be a saga in finding mobs not in slayer lists; today I went to Wrong to see what's going on there nowadays and hoping to get a cake recipe.
I went in armed with slayer books since mobs there are so tough without them. Dispatched the lizardmen just fine, and after spotting some Hungry Ogres and Cave Trolls, I equip my fresh newly written repond book and blast them with some energy bolts. As you might guess, I find that they simply don't care about the generalized magicks of Repond. I then equip their specific books and blast each one with another energy bolt. The troll of course also didn't care about the Troll Slayer magicks and the ogre also shrugged off the Ogre Slayer magicks.
Speeding right through them, I head off to the insane archmage, the executioner dies quite quickly and I painfully find out that he is indeed suceptible to repond (his deflect nearly kills me). The insane archmage, however, cares about my repond-infused spells about as much as my regular spells, which is to say, not much.
I assume that many of these slightly modified mobs aren't in their slayer lists which is why I keep finding them as I like to hunt with slayer books for what I think I'm facing. I originally went in to try to get the Three Tier Cake recipe from the ogre Fezzik (who I suspect also isn't in his slayer list, but I can't be sure since I didn't actually get to him)
tl/dr: Hungry Ogres and Cave Trolls in Wrong aren't vulnerable to Repond or their specific slayers. I'm unsure if the insane archmage should be vulnerable to Repond, but the executioner sure is.
I sure need to get me that fancy new spellbook strap to lug around all those slayer books.
Edit: Went back in to check on Fezzik and can now confirm that he is not affected by slayer books of appropriate type
