When I saw that UO had gone free to play, sort of, I decided to reinstall the client after being away from the game since a few months after AoS launched. I used to be heavily into the role playing scene back in the day on Lake Superior. I've given the wheels a spin to knock the dust off things over on the OSI shards (shard really, as only Atlantic has any real population left) and decided that while I want to keep playing UO in its current state I don't want the limitations Endless Journey places on you. So after some poking around, I found Heritage and it looks like after work today I'll be setting things up to log in on the Shard for the first time. So I wanted to stop in and say hello and thank you to the folks that run this place in advance.
Also, to ask a question. I see a lot of discussion in the last month about resource scarcity. Is it that bad? In other words, if I make a gatherer/crafter, is there going to be a market for her wares as large as the posts seem to make it out to be? If so, I might go against my normal inclination and actually make my crafter character first.
One other question, what is the RP scene like on Heritage? Are there any RP guilds running around?
