I have been working up my tiger's healing for almost 2 hours now and it has only gone from 10 to 16.9 it does this with healing except when you get tame a cu above 90 healing skill then it takes about 5 minutes to GM, same issue with almost all magical skills except poisoning, poisoning only takes a few hours to GM, and i have tested this with all magical skills now

But they raise, right? Look, all skills have a sweet spot to gain faster. Creatures use these spells randomly. As long as it’s raising, we’re good.

sweet spot is different then literally taking a week of work to get ONE pet to GM not even 120

Cool. Skills gain faster/slower depending on the difficulty, say in this case, the spells minimum skill requirement. If the spell is too easy or very difficult, the gains will be slow. If the difficulty is in the “sweet spot” you will gain faster.

Reviving this thread,
I'm having success training Discord on a pet, I'm doing it early, before all skills got GM.
Even killed it a few times to lower the total, but that only lowers about .8.
Thought about discording it, but it's gaining with whispers.

But! As it gets better, it won't keep trying once it hits. So your opposing target needs to have real high Barding difficulty.

I have a Triton that has 1209.5 total skill points, the magery is stuck at 83.7, no matter how much whispering and training it does.

The current pet in training is only 828.7 total.

Oh, When I went ahead and increased the Skill Cap for Disco, it seemed to move faster.
