Not A Bug Iron beatles

according to uoguide, there are supposed to be iron beetles that can be found near the entrance of the Lair of Navrey Night eyes http://www.uoguide.com/Iron_Beetle.
we went there and there were none to be found

I tamed a couple a few weeks ago and they don't seem to function properly, as they should mine when in an appropriate mining location, I have seen them mine before tame but after tame they aren't very productive. You can toggle them for what you wish them to mine but this doesn't seem to encourage them either. [ I remember a couple of versions of this mob that had been released over the years and others had worked as intended.]

I went and tamed one. the only problem when they are mining is that the ore doesn't stack. might as well just mine your own ore, as takes as long to move it to your pack so you are able to smelt it.

Why don't you bring a fire beetle and smelt the ore right off the ground? You can write a script that will detect the 4 different ore types and do this for you....
