FIXED Guarding bonded GD / Pet follower speed

So I tamed GD like 10mins ago and bought bonding potion and bonded it. I told it to guard me and started running and my gd just walks... I think it should be much closer to me and teleport with me anywhere. After this I said it to follow me and it started to fly and was much closer me and faster. Im not sure if it is bug? [EDIT] At last shards I have been played it worked like any bonded pet guards you and you can run far away from it and it just teleports to you.

I am going to move this to the Bug reporting forum. If I can replicate it I will mark it as a confirmed bug.

Even guarding they should still follow quickly, to the best of my knowledge, but I will have to confirm it on Atlantic.

They will not simply teleport, if you mean casting the spell teleport. They should follow you when you recall.

"Skipping" is a better description than teleporting for how pets used to follow. I'm not sure how it is on live so curious to see what Dan finds out testing this. I am in full support of pets following faster than they do now.

Baby steps with this one as we need to keep a delicate balance and make sure it is accurate / balanced for PvP.

Oh yeah and then there is moongate and dungeon doors and sparkles.. you have to get your pet directly next to you to go in.

I can say all pets move slow, and lag too far behind, this is a fact about ServUo, however this can be accurate behavior if they are slightly under fed perhaps, but not if they are happy. I don't think movement speed of pets should be lessened in reguards to pvp either lol, everybody has a choice of whether they want to stand behind one and heal it or run from one. The pet is suppose to fight for/with you so it needs to be on the same screen. If its a pet that can be mounted then it should be able to keep up with a mounted player. Furthermore, any pet should always be able to keep up with players on foot. If your pet is beaten down to a certain level of health I would expect its movement speed to mimic untamed versions as they all slow down as a result.

Has anyone tested how many tiles away you need to be from your pet for it to follow you through teleporters vs OSI?

You are right, otherwise pvp would look like pokemon.

Pets move slowly, and tammers already are an overpower class on pvm, if you buff the speed (or instant teleport when pets exit the screen) will ruin the pvp.
