Why did you change hit AoE to not proc on single targets???

It's literally a wasted stat on my bows now, as it doesn't proc fighting single targets, whereas before it proc'd against... evyerhing. I could clear whole screens with it before, and using momentum strike made it even stronger, and boost my damage against single targets. Now it's a completely useless stat if you're fighting a boss, or literally any single target as it simply doesn't work.

I understand this is now OSI accurate, but who the fuck was complaining about this lol? It's not like you see archers just AFK solo'ing anything and everything like you do with melee sampires.

At least I'm told this is OSI accurate, as I haven't played in years and don't remember it being this way. Either way being accurate in this case doesn't mean it should.

It was pointed out when testing other wrong aspects of hit area weapon abilities. Like when it used to proc from your location vs the targets(defenders location).

The spell hits an area around the target but not the target itself. Thus if nothing else is around it does not proc. Regular direct damage still procs.

I guess I'm just upset that I have like 30 reforged/enhanced bows that aren't optimal anymore after this change. It's not like it's a big deal, just something that confused me with the random change. Random being, it worked a certain way here for like four years, and then didn't anymore.

Sadly the case though. With emulation bugs need to be reported and fixed regardless of whether they improve or nerf player ability. Having an archer myself it's not a change I wanted to do, but that's just how things go.
One the same change I did change the aoe to damage from the target location, rather than the player location so you do have that benefit added.
If the target you were shooting was over the aoe distance (5 tiles) then it wouldn't have been damaged either way.
