Additions
  • The Forsaken Foes event has been turned on. (In the future this will be a seasonal event as it blocks parts of Blackthorns dungeon) (Halloween reward items removed at this time, from this event)
  • This event, this time around, will run until April 15th 2020.
  • Treasures of the Sea (Forsaken Foes Event)
    • Creatures have become Soulbound! Use a soulbinder to capture souls and redeem them for rewards from the Fellowship!
    • Ethereal Soulbinders are craftable via glassblowing
      • 20 Sand
      • 5 Ethereal Sand
    • Ethereal Sand can be collected from Corgul the Soulbinder upon his death
    • Limited quantities of Ethereal Sand can be purchased from the Mining Cooperative in Minoc
    • Quantities are limited by account
    • The Mining Cooperative vendor will restock anytime Corgul is defeated
    • All Rising Tide creatures, including Corgul, Scalis, and Charybdis can have their souls bound into ethereal soulbinders.
    • Non-tameable creatures spawned as treasure guardians from treasure chests will also be “Soulbound”
    • Soulbound creatures will be identified via an orange hue and the “Soulbound” item property.
    • Ethereal Soulbinders must be in the top level of your backpack to function

  • Blackthorn’s Dungeon
    • As part of the continuing event arc, Blackthorn’s dungeon has become obstructed and will become home to a mini-quest having to do with the arc.
    • Minax Artifacts can continue to be turned in to the agent in Blackthorn’s Castle
    • Minax Artifacts can continue to be collected via the Captain’s and the Beacons
    • Characters logging into the areas outside of the beacon areas will be magically teleported out of the dungeon

Heritage Store Additions
  • Ethereal Reptalon Stat Mount - 2,000 Sovereigns
    • Night Sight (when mounted)
    • Fire Resist 10% (when mounted)
  • Ethereal Windrunner Stat Mount - 3,000 Sovereigns
    • Damage Eater 5% (when mounted)

Changes
  • VvV Stat Removal Potions can now be used once every 5 minutes, down from 20.
  • The original custom, no stat, Ethereal Windrunner Statuette, from the 2017 Fall Festival, has officially been retired.
    • An Event Item unique tag has been added to any in existence.

Bug Fixes
  • Various optimizations and improvements made to galleons.
  • Fixed an issue with trapped containers.
  • Fixed an issue where imbued Jewelry was not receiving durability correctly. (We will be addressing any existing items in a future patch)
  • Added in missing Blackthorn Dungeon stealables.
  • Medusa now drops the Medusa Floor Addon Deed.
  • Leather Ninja Hoods now have the correct base resists.
  • The Protection Spell will now correctly expire when a player is killed.
  • Various potential crashes have been addressed.

We will be working to make sure Plunderbeacons and Pirate / Merchant ships are easier to find.

AS ALWAYS WITH THESE BIG PATCHES - CRASHES CAN AND DO HAPPEN.
WORLD SAVES FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS WILL HAPPEN ONCE EVERY 30 MINUTES INSTEAD OF EVERY HOUR.
FOR THE NEXT 48 HOURS WE WILL BE ABLE TO RESPOND QUICKLY TO ANY ISSUES.

REMEMBER TO REPORT BUGS AND EXPLOITS RIGHT AWAY! WE WILL REVERT HERITAGE AT ANYTIME, IF NEEDED.

Additions
  • The following creatures now have a chance to drop a legendary rare monster statuette when killed.
    • Goat
    • Ice Fiend
    • Pig
  • Cove now appears on Public Moongates.

In-Game Store Additions
  • Power Tools – can hold up to 5000 charges of the associated crafting skill tool
    • Glass Kiln, Glassblowing, Functions as a heat source when ignited – 200 Sovereigns.
    • Enchanted Sculpting Tool, Masonry – 200 Sovereigns
  • Enchanted Granite Cart – 1500 Sovereigns
    • Once every 24 hour period produces 2 granite
    • Can hold up to 20 units of granite
    • Randomly delivers a type of granite when granite is claimed
    • Can be hued with normal, furniture, plant, pigment, and promo dyes

Bug Fixes
  • The Stygian Dragon no longer, incorrectly, drops the Stone Dragon Tooth.
  • Reds can now continue to use the Crystal and Corrupted Crystal Portals to travel outside of Felucca.
  • Players casting Paladin Spells will once again see the words of power above their heads.

Permanent Change to the Heritage "Seasonal" System
The following systems will now always remain active.

  • Treasures of Tokuno = ALWAYS ACTIVE. (rewards will vary)
  • Treasures of Khaldun and Caddellite crafting = ALWAYS ACTIVE.
  • Treasures of Doom = ALWAYS ACTIVE. (rewards will vary)
  • Treasures of KOTL City = ALWAYS ACTIVE. (rewards will vary)
  • Rising Tide = ALWAYS ACTIVE. (rewards will vary)
The following systems are only active during specified dates.
  • Treasures of Sorcerer's Dungeon = Seasonal
    • 10/1 - 11/30
  • Krampus Encounter = Seasonal
    • 12/1 - 1/30
  • The Fellowship Event = Seasonal
    • Unknown at this time

Changes

  • Skill Mastery Primers
    • Most champion spawns will no longer award Skill Mastery Primers.
    • These are now only obtained from killing Scalis, Charybdis, the TOL quest, and by killing the Dragon Turtle.
  • Dragon Turtle Champion Spawn
    • This spawn is located in Eodon and Felucca.
    • The Dragon Turtle awards the most amount of Skill Mastery Primers by far.
    • The Dragon Turtle champion spawn, when completed, will award Skill Mastery Primers in both Eodon and Felucca.
      • If killed in Felucca the Dragon Turtle will also award power scrolls.
  • Recipe Scrolls
    • Recipe scrolls that originally came from the Heartwood quests can now all be obtained, through random chance, by completing City Trade Orders.
    • Each time you complete a City Trade Order you will always get a Recipe scroll.
      • See the complete list HERE.
    • It seems Recipe scroll drops were always a bit wonky. This re-write solves that and various recipes that were not spawning, outside of events, will now have a chance to correctly spawn.
  • Loot Change
    • The extra loot bags that sometimes spawned on random monster corpses will no longer spawn. The recipes and talismans are obtainable by other means.


Q. Why the change to Primer drops?

A. When TOL first launched you could only obtain these from completing the Dragon Turtle Champion Spawn. It was the main purpose to do this spawn, on top of possible dragon turtle eggs. They had some value and are a great source of power. Then they were flooded in, are mostly discarded, and most skills have no value what so ever. Enter this change - Restores the need to do a unique spawn while also not limiting the drops of the primers to Felucca only.

  • When a player dies, healers will now show on the mini-map.
    • Ghost1.png
  • The Legacy Reward System is being re-coded and re-activated.
    • Legacy is earned by being logged in. Every 24 hours = 1 Legacy.
    • Soon players will once again be able to choose, and use, rewards based on their Legacy score.
    • Certain custom items have been placed back under the "Legacy" system.
    • This system will be activated in the coming weeks with a more detailed patch log at that time.

Bug Fixes
  • The Shield Bash mastery formula has been updated.
  • The Honor buff now persists through death.
  • Fixed a potential crash with galleon pilots.
  • Fixed an issue with the Giant Ape encounter in Eodon.
