Here we can discuss ideas to improve Vice vs Virtue system. I’ll write down some of the reasonable ideas we discussed in Discord. Any ideas will be updated on the main post.

1. VvV active on all facets, not just Felucca.
2. Heavy reduction on points gained when battle is uncontested. The idea is to make losing worth more points than an uncontested win.
3. Combat heat flag for battle participants to cut down on players simply recalling away.

Just now seeing this, when discord is active try bringing this link to attention and I bet you'll get some traffic.
I honestly think all that needs to be done is Alllow VvV active in all facets and more PvP will happen and it will better balance the risk and reward of VvV Items in game

I would like to see an incentive similar to the old faction system. With the old system you needed to be above a certain ranking in the faction to even use the artifacts.
Right now even if Vvv in fel was a more actively used system it causes serious notoriety issues in Trammel. When I have a character enrolled in vvv I can't play with opposing vvv guild members in Trammel or ilsh or malas due to "beneficial acts". This alone is a big deterrent to wanting to partake in the system as I'm not strictly into pvp. What would be more interesting to me would be a system similar to factions that worked in all facets. The current vvv system is built to really favor having 2 large guilds as opposed to a handful of smaller ones working towards a common goal (a pvp monopoly so to speak).

Or:
Leave the current points distributed alone, open vvv to all facets, raise the cost from 500 to something realistic (like 10k+) remove brittle/antique from the rewards, but make them require you to be enrolled in vvv to use.

I think Notoriety still needs to be cleaned up.

On the other facets would guild members still flag VvV if they helped a team mate? As it stands right now there are still issues with VvV notoriety between guild members who are in VvV vs those who are not, in regards to helping each other when there is no VvV battle going on.

If VvV is activated in all facets, the beneficial acts need to remain, ie blocked from non-guild mates.

Beneficial acts only needs to remain for any VvV enrolled members of other guilds. Non-VvV players should still be able to heal the VvV players.

The problem with that, say your fighting in tram ruleset facet, you're going to have blues healing your opponent, in which you won't be able to attack.

Maybe make it so that if the "Heat-of-Battle" flag is on (which shows up in the debuff tray) make them not healable. As it stands if you play in Trammel you can't heal any VvV members in opposing guilds at all. You have to be completely unenrolled in the system to cooperate in a non pvp area still.

I think its best that way, as being a consensual PVP system. Thats how the old Order/Chaos system was. This is somewhat of a variant of that.

But, yea yoru idea may work. I would also be willing to axe it if there were a lot of complaints regarding griefing.

Haha yeah. With a guild war you know what may happen at any moment... but just because you're at war doesn't mean there may not be a friend on the other side. Friendly until flagged kinda thing :p.

The reason why it is still bugged now is that guild members in the SAME guild get bugged out when trying to perform beneficial acts on their VvV guild mates, if they are not in VvV.

With the old Order Chaos system the whole guild either becomes Order / Chaos or it doesn't. Then you have to take into account guild alliances.

How can they not be in VvV if they are in a VvV guild? And how do they get "bugged out" when they do beneficial acts?

Remember, VvV is PLAYER based and not guild based. While you do need to be in a guild and it acts as your faction each player of that guild can choose to be in VvV or not. You could have a guild with half VvV players and half not. If not actively fighting other VvV guilds or in VvV towns they are supposed to be able to benefit each other. At times that part bugs out and players of the same VvV guild can not res eachother.

The whole system is still a little wonky in regards to that.

I just don't see any fairness in having players that are not attackable to the enemy, be able to heal their guild mates. That makes absolutely no sense to me. We need to find out how this is on EA, and as a player, would be against non-VvV having the ability to do beneficial acts on VvV players.

And as far as a points reduction, we're talking silver, right? That gives you the ability to purchase the gear, yes?

So how it works on EA is IF the VvV guild mate is fighting another VvV player OR in an active VvV town region, and their non VvV guild mate heals them they flag VvV.

If not fighting other VvV players or in an active VvV region they CAN perform beneficial acts on their own guild mates while hunting in felucca, champs, ect, and WON'T flag VvV.

The 2nd a VvV battle breaks out though if they help they flag VvV.

So my other question. Regarding points to be reduced during the battle. We’re talking silver, correct?
