Not At This Time Suggestion: VvV Silver Rate to Acquire

I would like to propose that a significant increase be applied to acquiring faction silver.
As it currently sits on Heritage, farming silver points basically involves having your own 2 chars in seperate guilds, enrolled in vvv to get, on average, let's say 500 points per 15 minutes of standing on altars with zero risk. Many templates require 10k to 20k faction silver for their suits which would equal around 20 wars at roughly 15 minutes a piece or 5-10 hours of mindless "Standing"... this is a discouraging milestone to say the least and is honestly such a time suck that if i were a new player looking to get in to pvp, it may make me consider another server.

My Suggestion would be to make silver more available to players by increasing the amount provided by a win to 1000 regardless of if it's contested or not.

Thoughts?

I'm not against it. As it stands at the moment most people go to VvV towns for 2 reasons,
1, You're farming and don't want to fight as it's an un geared char and it's often 1v1 and you will get had so you just do as above or
2, You're going for a fight and some fun, silver doesn't really matter because you're suited. And tbh a lot of the VvV fights we have have been in Luna

It doesn't really make any difference to 2 but makes 1 a lot less of a grind and gears people up faster.
VvV and the arties are broken anyway. I'm all for people being able to gear faster


As an aside we really need to fix pvp on here. I don't think it's just a Dan thing either. We somehow need to find a way to engage more people. I know from my side I'm just being lazy.
I need to fix both my PVP chars but I can't be bothered because PVP on here is either arena battles that are ok but quite fixed, gank fests or no one on. We kinda need to find out how to fix that

I think this isn't a problem now PRIMARILY because enabling VvV in all facets eliminated the issue that this change was supposed to fix. People farming arties for pvm. Now if they do that they are targets which, in my mind, is balanced.

@Shakyj the problem you are describing is a "people" problem. It's old players who have memories getting ganked by reds, creating emotional baggage about "dying". If we can fix that pvp will thrive.

That's why I'm saying it's not Dan's problem to fix primarily. Ok we may be able to drum up some ideas that he can implement to help PvP but mainly we have to get people who are here doing it more

Everyone has that story: Spent a month in britain, finally left to do something, got ganked and lost everything in like 5 secs (including the keyboard I smashed) :p

I feel like the reduced points for no one contesting should be removed, We should not be penalized for no one wanting to contest the VVV cities.

We have no plans to adjust VvV in the immediate future. That being said we are always looking to find ways to expand PvP. Be on the lookout for more PvP events in-game.
