New Dungeon Chests (Felucca only)

I wanted to bring attention to some underused skills so I have, for a while, been developing new Dungeon chests that would spawn in Felucca only and replace all the junky chests that currently spawn there.

These chests would be leveled from level 1 to level 4.

They would be hidden and require Detect Hidden to find. High levels of Detect Hidden will trigger the message you see in the top right corner. Hidden chests that are not revealed will NOT block movement and you would never know they are there.

Once revealed you will need to unlock the check. Magic unlock will not work on any of these chests.

You will then need to Disarm the chest. Telekinesis will not work on these chests and you will only be able to open them by using the Remove Trap skill.

Level 4 chests will require 120 Remove trap which can be achieved be getting lower level power scrolls, from lower level traps plus a combination of rare leather gloves that give a bonus, over cap, to Remove Trap.

Chest respawn time will be based on level and locations will be random throughout a dungeon with harder level chests spawning deeper inside.

We plan on adding some unique loot drops to these chests for the dungeon crawlers brave enough to make a new templet to hunt these chests. This rare loot right now includes a special bedroll that allows you to use it right from your backpack (As long as there is still a camp fire), a special tracking ball (more to follow) unique stat mounts, and more. Chests will also contain a high amount of gold and rare crafting resources.

All of this is coded but still in ALPHA. Any thought or opinions would be appreciated.

Personally I think adding some sort of chance to unhide the player to opening the chest would make it a little more difficult and interesting... whether players or mobs are nearby..

That is what Detect Hidden and Tracking are for, in Felucca.

It is already going to be pretty tough on the one looking for these chests. The reward will be worth it though.

So I'll have to drop Forensic Eval on my T Hunter now? You sure love messing with my templates lol. So how close will you have to be to the chest at say... GM Detect Hidden to find the chest? 4 squares? 1 Square?

I have a script for a Mimick Trap which would be a cool idea to spring on someone for a rare chance. The Mimick could be melee w/paralyzing blow or a magic user and can detect and reveal hidden players. It would be tough as a skeletal knight melee or Lich if it used magic.
