Been struggling to figure out why I can't train any of my animals for a while now.

It seems at some point I picked up the Discovering Animal Training quest and the animal I trained was a bake as when looping through my pets that's the only one I can train. Not sure if that's intended/OSI as I don't have an OSI account.

Then when I abandon the quest I still can't train any other animals and would have to repeat the whole quest chain again to presumably get the ability to train other animals.

A character who hasn't taken the quest can happily train any pet without issues, so the inability to train other pets than the quest one isn't an issue of not having done the whole chain. It's either the quest line shouldn't block you from training other pets or when you abandon the chain it should revert back to allowing you to train any pet

To add to this I've taken up the quest again, tamed a battle warg and taken the next stage of the quest to train the warg and it won't let me train the warg either.

I've now trained the bake I trained that I can train when I started the quest for the first time and nothing has happened.

So I'm stuck in a position where I can't train any pets at all even when I take the quest.

Ok i tried reaching you in game. I doubt its the quest. THere is no connection between the quest and the ability to train a creature. At which point is it disallowing you to not train it? Is the "Begin Animal Traning" button missing from the animal lore gump? Also, what is your real skill in taming and lore?

@Shakyj depending on the pet, once you start trying to tame it the required taming jumps to 110 to train them. The blue gem will not appear until you are at 110. This is also REAL skill and can not be buffed with jewelry.

Yeah, like Dexter said he grabbed me in game. I hadn't read it anywhere so wasn't aware. Not played UO since before it was introduced. Next stop a 110 taming scroll then!
