NEWS Pet Revamp Publish coming this weekend! We need players to test and report bugs.

Starting now a Heritage Test Center will be brought on and off line, as bugs are found and crashes reported. The purpose of this TC is to fully test the newest Pet Revamp systems. Players are asked to read up on this recent publish so that they can properly identify and report bugs back to staff.

The Heritage Test Center connection info is:

Players will be asked to go out and tame various animals, train them, try to exploit them, and attempt to crash the server. This Test Center will remain online for two weeks. The success of the publish rolling out on the main shard is dependent on your assistance with this TC. Should any exploits make it to the production shard any pets exploited will be deleted and players banned.

Various gates to instant travel to popular animals to tame.

As a thank you for helping us test this extensive and complicated publish players will earn special rewards on the main Heritage shard.

For logging in and playing around you will earn:

Your post must clearly define and explain what the issue is, how it is wrong, and what staff can do to replicate the issue. If it is a shard crash you must explain exactly what you were doing when it crashed. Crash logs will also be posted by us to determine if you were the one who actually caused the crash.

We may have various ServUO developers pop in from time to time. Please be respectful.

During the publish testing feel free to post comments here, not related to bugs.

Once this publish goes live it will be back to business as usual with a focus on squashing a lot of the bugs that have come up recently.

The first round of testing, though it went very quick, was a great success!

After some of the crashes and major bugs get fixed a new version will be brought online.

Please pay attention to these forums incase Dexter, the ServUO developer, has more questions based on your reports.

Alright everyone ROUND TWO of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last testing cycle these were the addressed fixes:
  • Pre-patch pets will not be alloted the proper min/max control slots so they can be trained.
  • Fixed crash when loring certain creatures, ie rune beetles.
  • Fixed issue with capped training attributes to stats and resists formulas.
  • Fixed stam/mana regen being switch when trained.
  • Fixed double anatomy cliloc, it should now show Parry instead.
  • Fixed accurance where damage per second would be applied past its cap in a particular round of Training.
  • Fixed powerscroll requirement display.
  • Adding str/dex/int will no longer effect hits/stam/Mana.
  • Common skills, even if skill level is zero, can have a powerscroll trained, ie resist spells, anatomy, tactics, parry (wrestle 100+).
  • Using Training Gate will now refresh animal lore Gumps.
  • Creature Damage Aura no longer triggers when creature is not in Combat.

A new Pet Revamp bug reporting sub forum has also been put up. ALL future Pet Revamp bug reports must be reported there.

I will start to go around and reward players, on Heritage, for the first round of fixed bugs.

how do you set skills in test center? is the command i wish to set ____ skill to 120? or what sorry i forgot been so long since played a test server :(

ROUND THREE of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last update @Dexter has addressed the following issues:
  • Creatures will now gain in parry with gm+ wrestling.
  • Damage to players from controlled pets have been halved, per EA.
  • Creatures will now gain Focus.
  • Added Enemy of One to Paladin AI.
  • Pre-Patch creatures will retain their lower control slots, ie dragons.
  • Dimetrosaur hits have been adjusted on Tame, per EA.
  • Minor tweaks to select creature stats.
  • Training damage per second should now work properly.
  • Updated various Area Effect and Special Ability mana costs.
  • Pet Training/bond gate and PS giver no longer bugs out.
  • Pets will only gain progress so much from individual targets.
  • Added pet power hour, pet EA.
  • Minor adjustments to new animal lore Gump.
  • Fixed issues where training GUI would go over cap.
  • Fixed issue where single increment wouldn't work.

The TC has been shut down for now but will return in a few hours, with a fresh copy of the recent Heritage saves.

ROUND FOUR of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last update @Dexter has addressed the following issues:
  • Curse Weapon should be more frequent with NecroAI pets.
  • Added quest shouting to Animal Trainer.
  • Tiger, Saber-Toothed Tiger, Triceratops and Lions have a 1 in 6 chance to spawn with the healing ability.
  • Giant Ice Worm is now trainable.
  • Main Pet Training menu can no longer be opened when other child menus are open.
  • Fixed crash.
  • Upkeep for combat training now has the proper values.
  • Pets will now gain/lose fame and karma along with their Masters, provided they did damage.
  • Black/White Tigers now have the proper control slots.
  • Fixed magery mastery options gump description cliloc.
  • Added Discordance to powerscroll list for Training.

ROUND FIVE of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last update @Dexter has addressed the following issues:
  • Added Armor Ignore to Unicorns.
  • Fixed issue where dex/stam/int/mana values bug out in pet training Gumps.
  • Added Explosive Goo to Fire Beetles.
  • Reptalon given proper Area Effects.
  • Added Training Point Discordance.
  • Lower End Creature training points lowered to 1501 on subsequent training rounds.

This time TC saves were not wiped. Make sure you test some of these changes on new pets.

ROUND SIX of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last update @Dexter has addressed the following issues:
  • Necro/Chiv abilites depends on karma level of master, not creature! verified on OSI.
  • AreaEffects/SpecialAbilities now consume Mana.
  • Pets now heal their masters.
  • Subsequent training rounds should now have only 1501 points.

ROUND SEVEN of the Pet Revamp testing cycle has begun.

Since the last update @Dexter has addressed the following issues:
  • Add abilities to various pre-existing creatures.
  • Saber toothed Tiger does not lose int during stat loss, per EA.
  • Gallasaurus and Najasaurus no longer have stat loss on tame.
  • Certain Special Abilties and All Area Effects are still trainable when a pet has certain magical abilities (trained or natural) that give it other weapon abilities, ie mastery abilities.

We are planning to release this publish on Friday.

Heritage will be brought down for an hour while everything is applied, if all goes to plan.
